This chain brake can also be used to stop the chain's movement during repositioning without the necessity of turning off the engine. The chain brake handle also serves as a front handguard, protecting the hand in the event of chain derailment from the bar. The tool is equipped with a built-in muffler catalyst, which reduces the amount of exhaust emissions released into the surrounding environment.
