Improved heat dispersion during cutting guarantees that the teeth remain sharper for a longer time. The deeper curved gullets ensure more efficient chip removal, preventing clogging and heat buildup. The specially-shaped tooth angle has less tendency to catch on thinner materials, and the staggered/side-set teeth minimize snagging and friction. It requires less feed pressure, achieved by combining aggressive tooth geometry with effective chip clearance, resulting in less effort needed during drilling. The cutting portion of the hole saw uses high-quality Matrix II premium-class high-speed steel. This steel contains 8% cobalt, allowing the teeth to maintain their original hardness during metal cutting even at high temperatures. Laser-welded to the body made of high-alloy steel, the teeth are then vacuum-hardened to 65 HRC at 600°C for strength and long service life. The steel body of the hole saw (thickness 1.27 mm) is rigid to maintain its shape but also has built-in elasticity. The effective cutting depth is 41 mm. The back plates are made of thick steel, ensuring that the holes do not enlarge over time. The thick back adds strength and rigidity, minimizing vibration. Four holes at the base facilitate easy shank attachment. A perfectly machined round back plate is crucial, especially for large-diameter hole saws. Diagonal holes for convenient material residue ejection.
