Welding inverter Paton PRO-500-400V 500 А 1.6-8 mm (1014050012) is an industrial machine designed for manual arc welding (MMA), tungsten inert gas welding (TIG), and semi-automatic welding (MIG/MAG) in protective gases and mixtures. The advantages of the PRO-500-400V device lie in its fully digital control system. The LCD display makes it easy to adjust the device for any task. The "Professional" series of welding machines is designed for industrial use, with the capability for additional adjustments. It supports continuous duty cycle at the rated current of up to 500 A, allowing the use of electrodes with diameters ranging from 1.6 mm to 8 mm (including refractory ones), and also supports semi-automatic welding with solid wire up to 1.6 mm in diameter. The built-in idle voltage reduction block in MMA mode ensures safe operation in challenging conditions, while the voltage protection block enhances the reliability of the machine by safeguarding against low voltage and brief high voltage conditions. Included with the PRO-500-400V are accessories from the German manufacturer ABICOR BINZEL.

Function "ANTI-STICK" During the initial arc strike, the electrode may stick or adhere to the workpiece, which can lead to overheating and excessive heat, potentially damaging the electrode. If the electrode sticks to the workpiece, the device reduces the welding current within 0.6 to 0.8 seconds. This makes it easier for the welder to detach the electrode from the workpiece without the risk of eye injury from an accidental arc strike. Once the electrode is detached from the workpiece, the welding process can continue uninterrupted. |

Function "HOT-START" The "HOT-START" function improves ignition even when using electrodes that are difficult to ignite. It also helps to achieve better penetration of the base material during ignition, resulting in fewer cold welds. Additionally, it prevents the formation of slag inclusions. When the electrode is detached from the workpiece, the voltage at the terminals of the power source is reduced to a safe level below 12 V within 0.1 seconds. |
