Argon-arc welding inverter Paton StandardTIG-250 250 А 1.6-6 mm (1033025011)
Argon-arc welding inverter Paton StandardTIG-250 250 А 1.6-6 mm (1033025011) is designed for argon-arc (TIG) welding of stainless steel, alloy steel joints, and non-ferrous metals with a direct current of up to 250 A. The device also operates in manual arc welding (MMA) and semi-automatic welding (MIG/MAG) modes, serving as a power source when paired with an external wire feeder unit. The StandardTIG-250 model offers maximum mobility with a robust feature set. Its nominal 250 A current is sufficient for welding with any covered electrodes ranging from 1.6 mm to 6 mm, and for semi-automatic welding with solid wire from 0.6 mm to 1.2 mm. The device includes a non-contact arc ignition unit (oscillator) and a PULSE function for two welding modes: MMA and TIG. Settings are easy and intuitive, thanks to the LCD screen with a multilingual interface. The PATON StandardTIG-250 comes with high-quality accessories from the German manufacturer ABICOR BINZEL.
Features:
Housing It has a sturdy metal housing with dimensions of 115х330х262 mm. Weight: 6.3 kg. |
Voltage and power The inverter operates reliably on a network with a voltage of 220/230 V. It features protection against voltage fluctuations. The nominal power consumption is between 6500-7700 W, while the maximum power consumption is 9400 W. |
Welding modes The device is designed for argon-arc (TIG) welding of stainless steel, alloy steels, and non-ferrous metals with a direct current of up to 250 А. It can also operate in manual arc welding (MMA) mode and semi-automatic welding (MIG/MAG) mode as a power source when combined with an external wire feeder unit (wire diameter from 0.6 to 1.2 mm). |
Settings Settings are easily and intuitively adjusted thanks to the LCD screen with a multilingual interface. In each welding mode—MMA, TIG, and MIG/MAG—the device can store up to 16 different configuration options. The current setting (program) number is displayed in the upper right corner of the indicator located on the front panel of the power source. |
Oscillator The device includes a non-contact arc ignition unit (oscillator) and a PULSE function for two welding modes: MMA and TIG. |
Power connectors The housings of the power connectors are made of heat-resistant material. |
Current adjustment The welding current is adjustable from 12 A to 250 A, with a maximum effective current of 335 A. |
Electrodes Any covered electrodes with diameters ranging from 1.6 mm to 6 mm can be used. |
Function "ANTI-STICK" During the initial arc strike, the electrode may stick or adhere to the workpiece, which can lead to overheating and excessive heat, potentially damaging the electrode. If the electrode sticks to the workpiece, the device reduces the welding current within 0.6 to 0.8 seconds. This makes it easier for the welder to detach the electrode from the workpiece without the risk of eye injury from an accidental arc strike. Once the electrode is detached from the workpiece, the welding process can continue uninterrupted. |
Function "HOT-START" The "HOT-START" function improves ignition even when using electrodes that are difficult to ignite. It also helps to achieve better penetration of the base material during ignition, resulting in fewer cold welds. Additionally, it prevents the formation of slag inclusions. |
Function "ARC-FORCE" The "ARC-FORCE" function enhances the stability of welding on a short arc, improves the transfer of metal droplets into the weld pool, improves arc ignition, and reduces the likelihood of electrode sticking. |
